Our Mission at HCA

Hametown Christian Academy has been designed to be an extension of the Christian home and church in training up a child in the way he should go (Proverbs 22:6) and in obedience to the Scriptural imperative to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, and might. (Deuteronomy 6:5-7).

"And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children..."

Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Our Educational & Spiritual Objectives

  • To ensure that each child has or comes to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ; that each child attains a higher level of Christian maturity and deeper commitment to Christ; and that they become a more effective witness for the Lord.
  • To emphasize the individuality of the person and to assist each child in properly responding to God and to others; to develop self-confidence, individual God-given abilities in academics, creativity, setting goals, analysis, communications, and the principles of success.
  • To assist each child in seeking their purpose for life's service and to provide the necessary preparation for eternity through emphasis upon Biblical principles.
  • To promote self-discipline by training students to be respectful, consistent, appreciative, responsible, and thorough in attitude, character, actions and integrity.
  • To help every child learn how to honor the Lord by meeting the daily responsibilities with which God has entrusted to them.
  • To compensate for poor educational backgrounds.
  • To eliminate grade level failure and repetition.

Overall, our main objective is training students in Christian leadership. Each professional staff member is a born-again Christian committed to the task of equipping each child with a quality education that is Christ-honoring and necessary for daily life. This ministry is not a corrective institution. We are here to work with the home - not take the place of the parents.
